Heart of the matter

At the heart of the matter

Given the wide coverage and reporting of a Syrian rebel cannibal this week, it raises a lot of questions that have not been addressed by the Global Media Network.  They state the alleged facts but without any further explanations as to why someone would do that.  A number of reports mention what the rebel said, anti-Shia insults, but in most, it has been simply whitewashed.

Firstly, Fact: the rebel, a Sunni detests Shias,  although this is often labelled as being sectarian, it does not reflect the deep rooted hatred and its intensity, ( as vividly demonstrated by the rebel).  This hatred has been going on for well over a thousand years.  Why this hatred? Simple answer is that Sunnis, (specifically), the Salafis & the Saudi version of Islam,  the Wahhabis, believe that they are the only true Muslims.  Anyone else is a non-believer, the same as Jews,Christians, Buddhists, Hindus, Sikhs, Shias, Sufis, Ahmadis, etc...In essence, this cannibalism could have been against anyone. Anyone else goes to hell.

What has been left out in nearly all of the media reports is that this isn't the first atrocity by this rebel, as he categorically stated in an interview with  Time magazine that "I  have another video clip... In the clip I am sawing another shabiha with a saw. The saw we use to cut trees. I sawed him in small pieces and large ones,". He justified the act of cannibalism as legal retribution. This is the only one of many atrocities carried out since March 2001, that has been propelled into the mainstream global medial due to its unique nature.  There have many atrocities committed in Syria that have gone unnoticed by the rest of the non-muslim world.

The U.N. High Commissioner for Human Rights Navi Pillay  stated "Mutilating or desecrating corpses during a conflict is a war crime. I urge the armed Opposition groups in Syria to do everything in their power to halt such gross crimes,". Not only does it show a remarkable naivety on the part of the UN and also by the media, It is extremely doubtful that this type of crime has ever been heeded by armed Islamists in the past or now.  Why?  Committing such "gross crimes" is part & parcel of radical, orthodox Islam.  Mutilation of live victims & of corpses frequently happened during the Bosnian war,  where Muslim jihadi fighters committed a wide range of atrocities in the name of Allah, including beheadings, roasting their enemy over a fire, the Serbs, including children.  All of which was splendidly whitewashed by the "Global Media Network" in the 90s and later by the UN courts, as these ghastly acts did not fit into the western narrative adopted by the "global media network" or the political elite, as the international community just didn't want to admit that horrific acts were being committed by their ally.

The Bosnian jihadi fighters were generously supported & sponsored by the US and armed by the islamic world under the gaze of the US & its allies.  Once more, we being led up the path of dumbness, except for a few who are experiencing a sense of déjà-vu and the future doesn't look too bright for non-Muslims either. It beggars belief as why the US and the UK still want to support and continue to arm the Syrian rebels even more than they have done so covertly.  This kind of chilling behavior will not prevent any future atrocities. We are being condemned by the political elite in the West to see repeats of islamic halal gruesome acts, not in Bosnia but now in Syria and in the future??

Halal is something or an act that is permissible under Islamic law, (otherwise as Sharia or Sunna). Mohammed the prophet of Islam, himself perpetrated torture and mutilating his victims, so it is perfectly legal under Islamic law. Take for example this extract:
"If God gives me victory over Quraysh in the future I will mutilate 30 of their men.' When the Muslims saw the apostle's grief and anger against who had thus treated his uncle, they said, 'By God, if God gives us victory over them in the future we will mutilate them as no Arab has ever mutilated anyone'(Biography of the Prophet, Ibn Ishaq p.387). More example of torture on p.515 as well in a number of Hadiths.

The rebel, Hamad, swore to avenge every death, he said: "Our slogan is, an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth." To put this  into context of Islamic revenge and retribution, this verse from the Koran illustrates it quite clearly:

"And We ordained for them therein a life for a life, an eye for an eye, a nose for a nose, an ear for an ear, a tooth for a tooth, and for wounds is legal retribution. But whoever gives [up his right as] charity, it is an expiation for him. And whoever does not judge by what Allah has revealed - then it is those who are the wrongdoers." (Qur'an 5:45)
